With each new day comes the breaking of the dawn,
A brand new beginning for yesterday is gone.
Any pains and sorrows, troubles and/or grief,
Allow yesterday to steal like a welcomed thief.
Today is all important, there is much to do,
Gratefulness to start as the day is new.
Yesterday was, tomorrow may never be,
Today is all we have with any guarantee.
Do not important deeds leave incomplete, undone,
For when today ends, it may be the last setting sun.
There may not be a tomorrow, another day to greet,
So remember to be kind today, to all who you meet.
Leave an impression of a smile to forever last,
For tomorrow may never come to add to your past.
Let not grudges be in your heart nor bear any shame,
Bury all your hatchets, release all guilt from claim.
Sorries must be said with sincerity in the heart,
Otherwise, are empty vessels, the words you impart.
As you venture throughout this very precious day,
Don't forget your Loved ones, take the time to say;
Let them know for sure, don't leave them without
Knowing how you feel, allow no chance for doubt.
When this day's over, reached its end and done,
Be grateful once again with the setting of the sun.
If you have fulfilled each important part,
As you go to sleep, there'll be peace within your heart.
